An internship as a credit risk management analyst in the Capital Markets and Risk Management team at National Bank means contributing directly to risk analysis while developing your expertise in finance. This internship allows you to have a positive impact on our organization through your knowledge of the financial markets, your interest in data analysis, and your willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.


Your role:

  • Analyze counterparties and contribute to the assessment of credit risk associated with market activities.
  • Participate in the management and monitoring of limits and exposures in support of trading teams.
  • Participate in the production and continuous improvement of reports
  • Contribute to the optimization of existing processes in order to strengthen the efficiency and quality of analyses.
  • Collaborate with experts to interpret complex data and make clear recommendations.
  • Identify areas for improvement or automation, particularly in the manipulation of data or the creation of analysis tools.

Your team:

The Vice-President, Capital Markets and Risk Management is a team of specialists who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to support the Bank's growth while protecting its financial strength.

In the Credit Risk Management area, you will be part of a committed team of passionate and experienced professionals and support members in the execution of their responsibilities.

Prerequisites:

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in finance, economics, mathematics, management, or a related field.
  • Possess an understanding of financial concepts and a strong interest in credit risk management.
  • Have an advanced command of Excel.
  • Have knowledge of Python, SQL or VBA (an asset).
  • Demonstrate analytical skills, curiosity and attention to detail
  • Analytical and communication skills
