A career as a Senior Manager, Credit Risk - Agriculture in the Agriculture Credit Risk team at National Bank means acting as an expert in credit adjudication for agriculture and agribusiness financing. Your job
- Analyze, authorize, or recommend agricultural and agribusiness credit files, in line with risk appetite and policy
- Collaborate with business lines to deliver timely responses on financing requests
- Support account managers as an advisor and coach in structuring credit
- Monitor loan portfolios and proactively recommend improvements
- Identify and implement quality control strategies to strengthen portfolio integrity
- Participate in credit committees and strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with policies and act as a change agent to improve tools and processes

The Credit Risk Sector includes 50 professionals in the field of commercial banking, specialized, agriculture, real estate and 1859. You’ll report to the National Senior Director, credit risk - agriculture and be part of a strong national team committed to supporting agri-finance partners across the country. Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Agronomy, Agroeconomics, or Business, with 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in agricultural finance and complex agribusiness lending
- Professional Agrologist designation is an asset;
- Independent credit decision-making under pressure
- Proven leadership in credit strategy and change management
- Experience in portfolio oversight and risk monitoring
- Knowledge of business banking products
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Collaborative, adaptable, and effective across diverse teams and stakeholders
- English (spoken and written)
- French is considered an asset
