A career as a Senior Analyst in the Operations mutual fund accounting team at National Bank means contributing to the achievement of various deliverables by working in synergy with your team. 
With your knowledge of financial statement, your experience in accounting and finance and your willingness to make a difference through your rigor and complicity, you’ll have a positive impact in a sector with complex activities helping to identify business issues and respond to the needs of various partners to support the delivery of important initiatives.
National Bank's fund accounting department is responsible of daily NAV calculation, distributions calculation and their financial statements production and their tax declarations.
Your role
  • Identify and analyze the various financial instruments held within client funds
  • Contribute to the preparation of Schedule of Investment required for financial statement reporting and participate in the validation of data included in risk disclosure tables
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to sector management and business partners (external clients, TBN, and external auditors)
  • Support the delivery of semi-annual and annual (audited) financial reporting for external clients by recommending enhancements to existing processes and internal controls
  • Collaborate on cross-functional and sector-wide initiatives with key parties
  • Identify, document, and escalate issues, observations, and operational challenges encountered by the team in day-to-day activities
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to less experienced team members
Your team
As part of the Fund accounting sector in the financial statements team, you’ll be in a team of 16 colleagues. Surrounded by experts in finance, accounting and taxation, we analyze and interpret the data to make the best decisions for our clients and partners. You will report to the Financial statements senior manager. Our team stands out for its expertise in mutual fund and exchange traded funds accounting, the quality of its production of semi-annual and annual audited financial statements, the client/employee experience it offers, the great work atmosphere and its collaboration between colleagues and other teams.
Work schedules are flexible and include work from home according to operational needs.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience or any other combination of education and experience considered equivalent
  • CPA or CFA designation in progress
  • Experience producing financial statements
  • Knowledgeable about mutual funds and exchange traded funds
  • Excellent communication skills, good time and priority management
  • Critical problem-solving skills
