A career as a Senior Analyst, Estates advisory in the Risk team at National Bank Independent Network (NBIN) means acting as a specialist in estate administration and advisory services. In this role, you will help client firms and internal partners navigate complex estate-related matters while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, consistent application of policies, and an exceptional client experience. Your expertise in estate administration, brokerage operations, and risk management will have a direct impact on service quality, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Your role• Provide guidance to client firms on estate documentation, processes, timelines, regulatory requirements, and account administration.
• Manage complex estate-related cases from intake through resolution, coordinating with internal partners and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
• Assess risks, analyze complex situations, and determine when matters require escalation or specialized expertise.
• Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Service Delivery teams to ensure consistent application of estate procedures and controls.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process, policy, or workflow improvements that enhance operational efficiency and the client experience.
• Develop educational resources, training materials, and insights that support client firms and strengthen estate-related practices.

Within the Risk department, you are part of a team of specialized professionals supporting estate-related matters across NBIN and report to the Senior Director, Risk & Regulatory. Requirements• Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in brokerage operations, wealth management, trust services, estate administration, or a related environment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of estate administration processes, probate requirements, and the related legal and regulatory framework.
• Possess working knowledge of registered accounts and tax considerations associated with estate settlement, including post-death income, tax slips, and beneficiary transfers.
• Have experience analyzing complex cases, assessing risk, and applying sound judgment in a regulated environment.
• Be comfortable managing detailed files, large amounts of documentation, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Hold an estate-related designation or certification (asset).
