We are creating a key leadership role to head a new national team and drive our pan-Canadian growth. This strategic position will be instrumental in strengthening our leadership in the mid-market segment and enhancing the visibility and influence of National Bank Trust among our institutional clients.
In this role, you will lead a team of multidisciplinary experts and be responsible for harmonizing our practices nationwide while optimizing the institutional client experience-from acquisition to retention. Success in this position requires strong ability to build strategic partnerships and a clear vision to guide the evolution of our offering and support our presence across Canada.
Your Role
• Drive institutional growth by developing long-term strategic relationships, leading the acquisition and integration of key clients, and consolidating practices across the country.
• Develop and champion a national strategic vision aligned with growth ambitions, while increasing visibility and influence both internally and externally.
• Structure and optimize the operating and distribution models to strengthen efficiency, consistency, and client experience across Canada.
• Oversee governance and regulatory compliance (KYC/AML), anticipate risks, and ensure uniform operational standards (SLA, KPI).
• Mobilize, develop, and inspire your team by fostering a culture of innovation, collective performance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate strategically with internal stakeholders (operations, legal, IT) to integrate complex solutions and deliver high-value analyses that inform executive decisions.
Your Team
You will be part of a pan-Canadian team recognized for its institutional expertise and commitment to excellence in a complex regulatory environment. You will report to the Vice President and lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists in business development and relationship management.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in business development and strategic team leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of institutional financial products (trust, treasury, corporate lending).
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and KYC/AML standards.
• Proven ability to design, articulate, and execute impactful strategies.
