The IT and Operations team is made up of more than 5,500 proactive, collaborative experts. The Vice-Presidency, Financial Markets Technology, has more than 100 specialists who work agile, proactive and collaborative to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of technology and continuously improve processes.
You are part of a large team of 50 colleagues across the transversal teams and will report to the Senior Manager - Transversal Technology Delivery.

Your job
- Act as an expert in the applications and technology and their connectivity and architecture
- Review, test and deploy infrastructure and connectivity requirements and provide day-to-day support for back-office platforms and all their technical components
- Actively participate in engineering design discussions and produce the necessary functional and design deliverables
- Meet business needs by breaking down requests, estimating the effort required and ensuring continuous delivery based on agile principles
- Continuously improve technological performance by optimizing processes and identifying effective solutions, monitor technology, propose innovative ideas and participate in their evaluation and implementation
- Take charge of incident, problem and change requests, such as planning and executing disaster recovery activities and engaging the right audience to troubleshoot, communicate and resolve incidents with the right amount of ownership, accountability and a sense of urgency
- Rigorously document support, maintenance and referral activities using the tools provided, collaborating closely with internal partners and external suppliers.

Prerequisites
- A university degree in computer science, software engineering, finance or a related field with several years of experience
- CSE or Series 99 Certification or in-depth knowledge of Market Events and post trade settlement, an important asset
- Good knowledge of trading and back-office systems and financial markets, an asset
- Experience in software development, network administration or server administration
- Proficient in the Linux, Wintel, AWS environments and Python/Java languages, an important asset
- Knowledge of FIX, MQ, JSON, XML and SFTP, an important asset
- Strong ability to manage priorities in a dynamic and pressured environment.
