Your job
  • Support our team by researching, screening, analyzing and tracking top-tier venture capital opportunities in Canada, the US, and Europe
  • Conduct due diligence on new investments, including business analysis, industry theses, competitor mapping, pricing model analysis, financial modeling, deal structuring, and investment valuation and return calculations
  • Work closely with NBC business units and portfolio companies on investments, research mandates and special projects
  • Support day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the fund along with the tracking and reporting of portfolio company performance
  • Participate in the Canadian venture capital ecosystem.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree or related diploma and 2 to 4 years of full-time relevant work experience
  • Work experience within financial services, corporate strategy, consulting or new product development
  • Excellent financial modelling skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficient in French and English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects and initiatives and work within an environment of rapid change and evolving priorities
  • Team player, communication and presentation skills, and ability to synthesize lots of complex information in a clear concise manner
  • Transactional experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity or venture capital is an asset.
