The Dispatch and Operations Agent is responsible for the daily coordination of the company’s logistics and transportation activities according to the schedule provided by the manager. The clerk performs all necessary data entry in the computer system and prepares the required documents for customs. They are also responsible for monitoring and renewing transportation permits and reports in Canada and the United States (IFTA, HUT, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Coordination:
    • Organize and track transportation and logistics activities according to the manager’s schedule.
    • Perform all necessary entries and updates in the computer system.
    • Prepare and verify all customs documents for international transport.
  2. Dispatch and Delivery Monitoring:
    • Assign pickups and deliveries to drivers.
    • Track shipments in real-time and adjust plans as needed.
    • Communicate with drivers and clients to resolve any issues.
  3. Permits and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Maintain and renew all transportation permits in Canada and the United States.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations: IFTA, HUT, and other provincial/state permits.
    • Ensure that the fleet and drivers comply with federal, provincial, and U.S. laws.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, on-site.

Requested skills

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or training in logistics, transportation, administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the transportation sector and Canadian and U.S. regulations (IFTA, HUT, and permits).
  • Proficient with computer systems and dispatch software (Prosoft, EverAG, Excel, Geotab).
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (mandatory).
