About the Position
In this role, you will actively participate in the execution of work while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
 
More specifically, you will be responsible for :

  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to determine work procedures;
  • Installing, aligning, dismantling, and moving fixed industrial machinery or mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, boilers, and generators, in accordance with plans and using hand and power tools;
  • Operating lifting equipment such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during installation, assembly, and repair;
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and defects;
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable controllers;
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts;
  • Using machine tools, including lathes and grinders, to manufacture parts required for repair, maintenance, or assembly;
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance on machinery;
  • Building foundations for machinery or supervising other workers in the construction of such foundations;
  • Assembling machinery and equipment using hand and power tools and welding equipment prior to installation.
 
Desired Profile
  • Relevant experience in the field
  • Experience in a northern environment (an asset)
  • Ability to communicate in English (an asset)
