Temporary 0.9 Intervention Support Teacher
Position in place for the remainder of the 2025-2026 School Year
Ross Glen School invites applications for the role of Intervention Support Teacher. This position is designed to address diverse student needs, in keeping with the recent Alberta government announcement on complexity teams. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students requiring targeted intervention, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide direct intervention and instructional support to students identified as needing additional academic, behavioral, or social-emotional assistance.
· Collaborate with complexity teams including specialists, administrators, and community partners to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
· Assess student progress regularly and adjust interventions accordingly.
· Contribute to professional learning, sharing best practices in intervention and EAL strategies with colleagues.
· Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with divisional and provincial guidelines.
Qualifications
· Bachelor of Education degree (required).
· Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
· Experience in intervention strategies within a K-12 setting.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
· Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learners.
Preferred Assets
· Specialized training in literacy, numeracy, or behavioral intervention.
· Experience with complexity teams or similar collaborative initiatives.
· Multilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations.
