Marketing and Communications Manager

 

Maple Reinders is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing and Communications Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking marketing team in Mississauga, Ontario.

 

With the guidance of our Marketing/Communications Director, this role works to shape a consistent, compelling brand across all markets in which the company operates, through omni-channel marketing and communications.  The role is both strategic, in storytelling and transforming business goals into creative content and communications, and hands-on, in the production of these written and graphic elements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

While there is rarely a "typical" day as a Marketing and Communication Manager, here's a look at some of your main responsibilities:

  • Help develop and execute on strategic marketing and communication plans to support business objectives.
  • Design and develop both written and graphic elements to enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and market positioning, in line with company brand tone and manner.
  • Drive, review and support creation of content for various channels (e.g. digital platforms, thought leadership, press releases and internal communications), at both the national and local levels.
  • Create, implement and drive campaigns and events in cooperation with relevant stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Writing and coordination of internal communications including internal newsletter and intranet site.
  • Support Business Development and others with the production of sales presentations, written communications, internal messaging and branding (logos, communications pieces, campaigns)
  • Ensure consistent messaging and tone across internal and external communication touchpoints. Proofreading of all marketing material before production initiates.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with client liaisons and site staff on site signage, groundbreaking events and other marketing or communications needs.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the Maple Reinders brand guidelines are being followed, and that appropriate templates, layouts and other external representations are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintenance of an organized internal asset library for all image, video and written material.
  • Updating and maintenance of the company website.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, and external vendors as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of KPIs, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • Although this role does not involve people management, it does include ownership of project duties.

Qualifications:

 

For this role, you must have the following qualifications and demonstrated experience:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Marketing functions, ideally in the B2B space
  • Fluent in English, with excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong understanding of the Adobe Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and the ability to develop creative content (ads, infographics, PowerPoint content, possibly video)
  • Proficient in MS Office and Windows-based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficiency with WordPress and website management. Past participation in an enterprise web redesign a plus.
  • Experience in multi-channel marketing
  • Experience in company-wide brand management and comfortable with the implementation of brand guidelines
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
  • Capable of working with creative freelancers and external suppliers
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle on a regular basis for travel to sites or other offices.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 / Year (depending on experience)
