A career as a Senior Commercial Credit Manager in the Credit Risk Management team at National Bank means acting as a specialist for credit approvals in the pharmacy and diversified sectors. You maximize the quality of a corporate loan portfolio in line with the Bank’s strategic directions across the country, while implementing portfolio quality control strategies to ensure integrity, maximize profitability, and support business development.

Your role:

  • Analyze, authorize, or recommend financing requests according to credit policies and BNC’s risk appetite;
  • Work as part of a team to meet short response times for the business line;
  • Ensure the quality of the existing portfolio;
  • Participate independently in various committees and special mandates;
  • Foster collaboration, provide coaching, and maintain ongoing communication with the business line and other stakeholders.

Your rigor, professional judgment, understanding of business realities, ownership of files, leadership, and ability to propose solutions will set you apart.

Required skills:

  • University degree related to the field of activity and five years of experience in the commercial banking sector
  • Proven experience in commercial credit risk analysis
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, teamwork, and rigor capabilities
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate financial products and services
  • Demonstrated leadership in implementing new initiatives and/or special mandates
  • Ability to make complex decisions within very short timeframes
