Industrial Millwright

The Opportunity: As part of Maple Leaf Foods’ Maintenance Team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. In doing so, they will support safe plant operations, uphold a safe working environment for all team members, and ensure equipment and processes align with our commitment to animal welfare standards. Please note that this role operates on a night shift schedule.

Our Millwright rate is $46.81/hour, with an additional premium of $0.70/hour for the night shift. The Perks of Joining Our Team:

What You’ll Bring:

• Journeyman Ticket or Red Seal Millwright Certification (required)
• Must have own hand tools (Power tools are provided)
• Strong knowledge of plant and equipment operations
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues in a fast-paced environment
• Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team-based environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams
• Willingness and ability to work overnight shifts
• Availability for weekend overtime as production demands require
• Physically capable of handling heavy equipment (in excess of 25 kg)
• Poultry or food production experience is considered an asset
• The successful candidate will be results-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees.
