The Opportunity
The Taft-Hartley Transaction Plan Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate administration of Taft-Hartley Retirement Plans. This role services US Participants and is part of Manulife John Hancock Retirement.
Responsibilities
Ensure all payments are processed according to Plan Rules
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all recordkeeping transactions (distributions, rollovers, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders) in accordance with service standards and timeframes including client specific service standards as outlined in Service Agreement if applicable; associates in this position will be responsible for doing a quality check on their peers’ processing
Ensure quarterly participant statements are reviewed and released in accordance with service standards and timeframes.
Timely resolution of Daily Errors and Stale Dated Checks
Execution of monthly/quarterly Fee Processing
Daily resolution of Special Handling check requests, if applicable
Research/resolve all recordkeeping and plan administration issues in a timely, cost effective, professional manner
Research and respond to call center research requests
Coordinate with other departments as necessary to respond to special request and problem resolution on an ongoing basis
Identify / implement opportunities for increased operational efficiencies
Identify additional areas of training to improve customer service, quality, and efficiency
Demonstrate full understanding of plan administration
Monitor work queue daily to ensure all transactions are processed within service standards
Maintain client files according to department standards, and update documentation as needed.
Display a positive outlook, works well in team environment, is willing to share information, remains flexible in a changing environment and performs additional duties as needed

Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education or high school diploma and equivalent business experience
Financial Services/Customer Service experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Can adapt easily to technology/comfortable learning new systems
Demonstrated ability to work in high volume, deadline-oriented environment
Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
Demonstrated passion for providing client-centric solutions
Propensity to work collaboratively, within team and with members of other teams
Excellent time management
Adaptable and flexible in responding to deadlines on assignments and workflow fluctuations
Self-motivated, organized and results-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in US Retirement
401K certification

Salary range is expected to be between
$41,700.00 CAD - $69,500.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
