Description
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Senior Director to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of Global AI Solutions across our diverse business segments. This role is pivotal in driving our AI initiatives to deliver exceptional consumer experiences, enhance operational efficiency, and foster personalization across global markets. As a leader, you will guide a dynamic team of senior data scientists, AI specialists, and data engineers to harness the power of AI and drive business transformation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy that supports global business objectives, emphasizing innovation and customer-centric solutions.
- Team Management: Inspire and manage a high-performing team of AI and data professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.
- AI Development and Deployment: Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance customer interactions and drive business growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand diverse challenges and translate them into AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact.
- Ethical and Responsible AI: Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical standards across all AI applications.
- Risk Management: Implement robust governance frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI deployment, ensuring secure and reliable solutions.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of AI trends and advancements, integrating modern technologies to continuously refine and elevate our AI capabilities.
- Communication and Influence: Effectively articulate complex AI insights to varied audiences, driving informed decision-making and strategic alignment at all organizational levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 10-12 years of proven expertise in data analytics and AI, with a strong track record of leading global AI initiatives and delivering impactful solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of AI technologies, natural language processing (NLP), data exploration, and visualization, with expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing is a plus.
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Salary range is expected to be between
$110,530.00 CAD - $205,270.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
