Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing business contract confirmations, initiating new and reassessments, and acting as a liaison between Vendor Information Security management (VISM), vendors and Manulife internal teams. You will ensure all vendor documentation is organized and verified, and coordinate with various teams to facilitate assessments and reviews.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Vendor Information Security Management (VISM) Inbox:

    • Oversee and manage the Vendor Information Security Management (VISM) inbox, ensuring timely responses and action on all incoming communications.

  • Business Contract Confirmation:

    • Confirm the status of vendor contracts to ensure the contracts remain active and/or are renewing.

    • Gather and confirm contract details from Archer with contract managers and business contacts.

      • Ensure the scope of services is accurately documented.

      • Obtain the Business Acknowledger and other relative information.

      • Verify and update current vendor contact information as needed.

  • Vendor Creation and Management:

    • Create and maintain vendor profiles within the system, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and up to date.

  • Initiate New and Re-Assessments:

    • Determine the appropriate in-scope questionnaire based on the scope of services.

    • Update Vendor contact information

  • VISM Liaison to the Vendor:

    • Send follow-up communications until all required documentation is received.

  • Organize and Verify Questionnaire and Documentation:

    • Ensure all documentation has been received and is current.

    • Follow up with vendors for any missing or outdated documentation.

  • Vendor Assessment Coordination:

    • Assign vendor assessments to the next available Vendor Information Security Management (VISM) team member.

    • Update internal trackers and ProcessUnity with the latest assignment information.

  • Forward Information to Additional Teams or VISM Team Members:

    • Identify potential onsite reviews.

    • Coordinate with BUSO teams to send CUEC reviews.

    • Communicate with the Cloud Architecture team regarding cloud-related questions.

    • Initiate ServiceNow tickets for ETS BCM.

    • Send AI question reviews to the AI US segment.

  • Annual VIRA Schedule Creation:

    • Develop and manage the annual Vendor Information Risk Assessment (VIRA) schedule.

    • Reconcile information between Archer and ProcessUnity to ensure alignment.

  • Reporting:

    • Validate cases where Vendor Information Risk Assessment (VIRA) is not needed and report findings.

    • Monitor and report any changes in IRQ (Information Risk Questionnaire) ratings.

    • Monthly Vendor Information Security Management (VISM) reporting

    • Maintain updated records in both the tracker and ProcessUnity.

  • ProcessUnity Issues Monitoring:

    • Regularly check and address any issues related to ProcessUnity to ensure smooth operations.

  • Business Acknowledgment Monitoring:

    • Track and ensure business acknowledgment processes are completed accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent business experience

  • 3-5 years business analysis experience

  • Third Party risk experience or other risk related experiences

  • Experience with Microsoft Suites and additional technical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities

  • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written communication.

  • Excellent organization, problem-solving skills and analytical ability

  • Work well independently or within team basis as situation dictates.

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
