Description
The Manager, Finance, Global Workiva COE & Projects, reporting to the AVP, Financial Reporting and Projects, is responsible for managing Workiva-related activities to ensure effective adoption and usage within the global finance organization. The incumbent is a key member of the Global Workiva COE team, which plays a critical part in Finance transformation by leading the adoption of Wdesk reporting, along with implementation of Wdata as a foundational layer for reporting and disclosures. The COE collaborates with end-users and the IT function, to ensure successful and sustainable Workiva implementations across the Company.
Position Responsibilities:
Global User Enablement & Change Management
Lead global enablement for Finance users; develop training, technical guidance, documentation, and best practices.
Serve as a change leader, building confidence and capability across the Finance function regarding the use of Workiva.
For implementations:
Assist in translating business requirements into scalable Wdesk and Wdata solutions.
Partner with IT on data sourcing and connectivity while maintaining Finance ownership of data quality and reporting outcomes.
Define standards for data linking, documentation and data usage where relevant, with emphasis on consistency and standardization
Wdata Strategy & Data Enablement
Drive adoption of Wdata to enable controlled data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
Support the design and rollout of Wdata as the single, trusted source for data sets used across reports and disclosures.
Establish data governance practices within Wdata, including ownership, controls, and documentation.
For implementations:
Partner with Finance, IT, and data teams to ensure scalable, auditable, and well-controlled data pipelines.
Reduce manual inputs and data manipulation by using data-driven workflows.
Center of Excellence Management
Serve as a subject matter expert for both Wdesk and Wdata features and capabilities.
Stay current on platform developments and new features.
Manage relationships with critical collaborators outside of formal authority.
Report on status against milestones, benefits, challenges, and lessons learned for initiative progress tracking.
Foster culture of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications:
University degree in finance, accounting, information technology, business technology management, MIS, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, information technology, business technology management, MIS, or data architecture.
Experience in data-enabled Finance transformation, reporting modernization, or data management initiatives.
Solid ability to translate Finance requirements into scalable data and reporting solutions.
Superb attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge finance, data, and technology.
Strong data mentality (data quality, governance, and outcomes).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workiva in a Finance or reporting environment.
Experience implementing or scaling Wdata or similar Finance data platforms.

Salary range is expected to be between
$92,900.00 CAD - $142,900.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
