Manager, Business Continuity Plan Lead

Global Operations Business Resiliency and Operations Risk team partners with segments and functions to promote risk awareness and management of operations risk posture and controls. This team is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and analytical individual as the Manager, Business Continuity Plan Lead who will partner with business process owners to develop, enhance, and manage quality and completeness of business continuity plans.

This role is responsible for performing all Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities. This responsibility includes involvement in the full BCM lifecycle including but not limited to business impact assessment, business continuity plan development, and scenario testing. This is an individual contributor role which requires successful collaboration with team members in global business and functional areas subject matter experts and other stakeholders including ORM, IRM, Legal, Finance, HR, IT and Compliance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and expertise to relevant stakeholders in complying with the requirements of the Global Business Continuity Management Policy / Standards / Procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and ensure alignment of business and technology recovery objectives

  • Collaborate with process owners within Group Functions to drive development, maintenance and testing of business continuity plans for Group Functions in North America and Asia

  • Provide advice and guidance in formulating BC strategies based on business needs, industry trends and best practices and ensure completeness and quality of the output

  • Ensure that minimum business operational and technology requirements are met in the recovery and continuity of critical business processes and validate and review quality of contingency plans and actions to be taken in light of disruptive events

  • Implements and updates metrics to review performance, risk and remediation associated with strategic objectives.

  • Collect, review and manage Reportable Events by ensuring they are logged in timely and that corrective actions plans (CAPs) are developed and implemented within the given deadlines.

  • Ensure that approved BC strategies are implemented accordingly

  • Plan and lead the required BC tests and exercises, ensure the documentation of the results and findings

  • Ensure that the relevant BCM points of contact are adequately supported to perform BCM related activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.

  • Proficient methodical experience in Business Continuity Management professional practices

  • Experience in Business Continuity Management Software and Emergency Notification Systems

  • Good project management skills

  • Flexible on shift to meet business deadlines

  • Organized, detail-oriented with strong focus to deliver targeted outcomes

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with stakeholders of various levels in the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrable competency in Office 365 apps

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), DRI International (CBCP), Resilience Information Exchange (RIE) or equivalent experience is preferred

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD
