District Vice President, Guaranteed Wealth Solutions

Reporting to the National VP, Head of Guaranteed Wealth Solutions, the District Vice President is accountable for the development and implementation of a sales strategy that grows sales and retains assets of Manulife segregated funds, Guaranteed Interest Accounts and annuities within their region. Working directly with Financial Advisors, the external wholesaler will be responsible for promoting all active products, focusing on the estate planning and wealth transfer benefits of Manulife segregated funds.

Success will be measured through the gross sales of Manulife segregated funds, GIAs and annuities, by building new advisor relationships and solidifying existing ones within the region.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieve product-specific sales targets within the wholesaler’s specific region

  • Identify and pursue new relationships with advisors

  • Provide new insights to help advisors grow their business with Manulife

  • Present regularly to advisors in-person and occasionally investor seminars

  • Work with the internal wholesaler and Business Development Associate to create new sales opportunities

  • Develop effective and professional working relationships with other Manulife field partners including representatives from Manulife Investments, Manulife Insurance, Manulife Bank and other partners within key accounts

  • Maintain agreed upon levels of virtual and face to face contact with the Advisors in the region and record daily activities using the current contact management system

  • Develop and share ongoing standard methodologies, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peers and advisors

  • Participate in scheduled office visits, seminars, conference calls and other meetings, providing your expertise in both products offering, underlying funds and in the investment space more widely.

  • Educate a wide range of retail clients on our products and related capital markets information

  • Deliver timely communications (in whatever form is best based on the situation and the audience) around fund features and performance to current and prospective clients

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent business experience

  • 5+ years Investment Sales experience with extensive and detailed knowledge of the Financial Services industry and capital markets

  • Participation in the sale of Investment Products to insurance-licensed advisors

  • In-depth knowledge of segregated funds, Guaranteed Interest Accounts, annuities, mutual funds, ETF and index funds

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills; connecting with people truly energizes you.

  • Successful completion of IFIC mutual funds course or CSC preferred

  • Ambitious and highly organized
