Description

Reporting to the AVP of MarTech, this role will lead the MarTech strategy and planning efforts for our organization, supporting all segments in North America. You will develop, refine, and help operationalize our digital marketing roadmap. You will help build and enhance martech capabilities and platforms. You will oversee the successful delivery of our department’s services and operations, ensuring that digital measurement, infrastructure management, data management, planning, and processes empower our internal partners. This role collaborates closely with customer experience, digital transformation, technology, advanced analytics, data office, and product functions. As a change agent, you will accelerate our marketing team’s transformation into a digitally led, agile, customer-focused function, serving as a strategic partner and enabler of the entire marketing ecosystem.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategy and Roadmap Development
- Define, refine, and support the execution of the MarTech strategy.
- Act as a business partner to marketing and business leaders across BUs/Segments for MarTech capabilities, resourcing, and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address marketing, business, and MarTech challenges.
- Optimize existing MarTech and marketing processes.
- Develop a deep understanding of business and marketing needs, consulting with cross-functional teams to provide relevant MarTech solutions.
- Provide input to BU and Segment roadmaps to incorporate MarTech capability development and delivery.
- Build a roadmap beyond current services, establishing cross-functional relationships across the enterprise.
- Find opportunities to integrate AI into MarTech capabilities and processes.
- Provide ongoing strategic direction to the Global Digital Marketing service delivery pillars-Segmentation, Activation, Measurement, Tagging, Testing, & Optimization.
Resource Management and Operations
- Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation for the MarTech function.
- Deliver strategic executive reporting and planning, such as monthly business reviews and steering committees.
- Enable operational activities, workshops, training/learning sessions, forums, and opportunities to keep teams informed of the latest digital marketing trends and technological advancements.
- Develop solutions for marketing and business operational issues involving MarTech, leading analysis and problem-solving efforts.
- Create effective communications materials for various audiences.
- Lead with a perspective at Manulife/John Hancock, engaging in global communities for digital innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Marketing Technologies (MarTech), especially Adobe and SalesForce.
- A strong desire to learn and gain a deep understanding of our business and its key challenges
- Collaborative great teammate with strong interpersonal skills for managing senior leadership interactions.
- Passionate about driving positive results for the business.
- Comprehensive understanding of MarTech capabilities, with deep expertise in one or more areas (e.g., digital analytics, marketing automation, content management, CDPs).
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations and influence partners.
- Skilled in navigating and leading change effectively.
- Effective storyteller, able to communicate business value through data to senior management and team members.
- Experience in driving growth in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing user expectations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the insurance or wealth and asset management industry is preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between
$105,750.00 CAD - $190,350.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
