Compliance Consultant

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing Operations Compliance team supporting US Insurance Ops, including Life, LTC, and Annuities. The role offers exposure to both third-party administrator (TPA) oversight and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit coordination-two areas critical to our operational integrity and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will help shape how we manage third-party governance and internal control testing, with room to grow and evolve the role based on business needs and individual strengths.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead oversight of certain third-party administrators (TPAs), including governance, issue resolution, and process stabilization.

  • Coordinate SOX testing cycles across Operations, Finance, and IT, including documentation, issue tracking, and audit support.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Assist in managing operational risk through data synthesis, reporting, and process reviews.

  • Contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and support market conduct exams, filings, and privacy-related matters as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, audit, operations, Risk, or related financial services roles.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting/ coordinating audits, TPA oversight, or internal controls (SOX or similar frameworks).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Experience with TPA governance in a regulated industry.

  • Familiarity with SOX compliance frameworks and audit coordination.

  • Exposure to life insurance, annuities, or long-term care products.

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Salary range is expected to be between

$64,575.00 CAD - $107,625.00 CAD
