AVP, Workforce Transformation and Organizational Design

Overview

The Strategy and Operational Excellent team is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to drive organizational strategy and transformation initiatives as we embark on our ambitious AI journey. This AVP will play a critical role in shaping the future of our workforce by designing and implementing innovative strategies that enable business agility, optimize talent, and foster cultural transformation.

The AVP will play a key role in workforce transformation across the organization, including evaluating complex organizational needs, crafting solutions that integrate business and people strategies, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to design future-state operating models. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills who can influence senior stakeholders and deliver impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive AI-enabled organization design by utilizing AI-powered tools and analytics to assess structures, model future-state scenarios, and generate actionable insights.
  • Evaluate, understand, and solution for complex organizational needs.
  • Craft and deliver organizational strategy and business transformation solutions
  • Lead complex discussions, analyze business strategy and organizational architecture, and design impactful business interactions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape vision, structure, and design of initiatives before execution.
  • Work across segments and functions, building credibility and relationships quickly.
  • Integrate organizational strategy, talent, and change activities into project plans and roadmaps.
  • Translate complex information into clear, meaningful stories and collaborate with other capabilities to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Drive design and implementation of operating models, organizational structures, and workforce strategies aligned with transformation goals.
  • Demonstrate understanding of people components in large-scale transformation and deliver professional services in organizational design and workforce planning.
  • Develop people through feedback and foster an innovative, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education (Future-Focused)

  • Education: Advanced degree in business, organizational development, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in organizational strategy, workforce transformation, and change management within large multinational corporations.
  • Digital Fluency: Strong understanding of digital transformation principles, including AI-enabled organizational design and data-driven decision-making.
  • AI Literacy: Ability to leverage AI-powered tools and analytics for organizational modeling, workforce planning, and scenario analysis.
  • Strategic Agility: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to rapidly changing business environments, and design future-ready operating models.
  • Leadership & Influence: Exceptional facilitation and communication skills; ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated ability to foster creativity, embrace emerging technologies, and lead cultural transformation initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building: Skilled at building trust and credibility quickly with internal and external stakeholders across multiple industries.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current on industry trends, digital tools, and workforce strategies.

Working Arrangement

Salary range is expected to be between

$126,600.00 CAD - $235,300.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
