AEM Intermediate Full-Stack Engineer

We’re looking for an Intermediate Full Stack AEM Engineer with a strong front‑end emphasis to build modern, accessible, and performant experiences in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).You’ll help support AEM 6.5 on‑prem, contribute to our migration and build for AEM as a Cloud Service (SaaS) with a focus on robust components, excellent authoring UX, and consistent Design System implementation. This role is ideal for developers with foundational AEM experience who are ready to take on more responsibility while still receiving mentorship and support. A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow is extremely important in this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Enhance AEM Components: Build and maintain AEM components, templates, dialogs, Sling Models, and client‑side functionality (React, HTL, Java, JS).
  • Implement Accessible Front‑End UI: Ensure all components meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, including semantic markup, keyboard navigation, ARIA usage, color contrast, and screen‑reader compatibility.
  • Contribute to AEM Platform Improvements: Support the evolution of our AEM architecture, ensuring alignment with design‑system standards, authoring guidelines, and cloud‑ready patterns.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside UX, content authors, publishing teams, and fellow engineers to create cohesive, consistent experiences across platforms.
  • Support Agile Delivery: Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, code reviews, and collaborative planning within an agile team.
  • Fix & Optimize: Diagnose and fix front‑end, authoring, and AEM platform issues while maintaining strong performance, accessibility, and stability.
  • Grow Expertise: Continuously expand your knowledge of AEM (6.5 + Cloud), cloud infrastructure, DevOps tooling, accessibility standards, and related technologies.
  • Operate with Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned features and enhancements while collaborating closely with senior engineers for guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of AEM development experience
  • Hands‑on experience in Java, JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and related web technologies.
  • Experience using Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps guidelines.
  • Experience implementing or contributing to accessible user interfaces.
  • Experience developing AEM components and authoring tools using HTL, Sling Models, OSGi, Java, and front‑end technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AEM concepts such as components, templates, and content fragments
  • Experience delivering accessible UI: semantic HTML, WCAG/ARIA practices, responsive design, and front‑end performance.
  • Familiarity with software engineering guidelines: version control, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, and maintainable code patterns.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • A proactive learning approach, openness to feedback, and interest in taking on more advanced AEM and platform responsibilities over time.
  • Curiosity about adjacent technologies such as design systems, front‑end frameworks, cloud services, DevOps, and modern tooling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Additional experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) or cloud migration efforts.
  • Exposure to React server‑side rendering, or Design System integration.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and service integrations.
  • Knowledge of performance profiling, caching strategies, or AEM Dispatcher configurations.

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD
