Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.
Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Future business launches (Extrusion, IMM)
  • Design/implement changes to work cell layouts using AutoCAD for all departments.
  • Work with contractors in managing/planning new projects for building modifications. Ensure Documents are up to date w/ H&S.
  • Ensure and promote all safety standards, safe operating procedures, all safety issues conforming to the OHSA
  • Map and 5S assistance
  • Major Project participation.
  • South plant compressed air reduction (Blowers / Nozzles / Peel off units / Line studies of WCs for wasted consumption)
  • Industry 4.0 - Sensor install catalogue Serial #s, help plan VFD motor replacements.
  • Waste Diversion - Mapping, Auditing, Training (assist with goal to meet 95%
  • Bosche Power packs - Install & study (noise reduction)
  • Assist with ISO5001 - Documentation
  • Facility & Maintenance equipment list / PM documentation.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently enrolled in an Industrial Engineering or related field
