JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program (college or university), preferably in Engineering or Business.
- Basic programming/scripting skills are an asset (examples: Python, SQL, JavaScript).
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Basic database/query skills are an asset (SQL preferred)
- Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point).
- Ability to uphold confidentiality.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software) is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Engineering department with day-to-day tasks, including data management, documentation updates, meeting support, and coordination of engineering deliverables.
- Automate current business systems and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy (Power Automate and basic scripting as applicable).
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Power Platform) is an asset.
- Help document and maintain a “single source of truth” for engineering data (SharePoint/Teams structure, versioning, metadata).
- Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and standardization from manufacturing systems for reporting and analysis.
- Support Industry 4.0 initiatives by digitizing manual processes (forms, approvals, trackers) into structured digital workflows.
- Design and coordinate meetings and presentations.
- Experience with Grafana or Power Bi is an asset.
- Organize and maintain project customer and internal information
- Perform other duties as required.
- Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the O.H.S.A.
- Follow and ensure the company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the company’s safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that your department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
- Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. TS16949, ISO14001)
- Understands, promotes and lives by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter
- Adheres to Modatek’s core values, integrity, respect, trust, honesty, fairness and loyalty
- Follows Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Performs all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Modatek Systems Environmental Policy

WORKER HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Modatek Systems
- Performs all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Section 28 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments

(d) report to their employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows.
WORK AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Office environment, but may be exposed to elements such as temperature and noise during time spent in the plant
- Flexible to travel to meet customer demands
- Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position
