Schedule: 40 hours/week, 4 days/week, Monday to Thursday

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, the Millwright performs maintenance, installation and improvement work on production equipment to ensure proper operation. In addition, he/she ensures that all the tasks he/she performs are carried out in compliance with health and safety rules, laws and regulations as well as company policies. More specifically, he/she is called upon to:

  • Repair, adjust, modify and inspect all our mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding equipment and machines in our facility
  • Perform scheduled inspection and preventive maintenance according to established standards and recommended procedures
  • Troubleshooting, diagnose and carry out repairs to equipment and ensure rapid repairs in the event of equipment breakdowns
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team, specialized contractors and the engineering team on various special projects
  • Participate in the installation and fabrication of new production equipment and other equipment or items required for operations
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the preventive maintenance program
  • Ensure the validity and certification of the machine park
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Committee to implement innovative solutions

Profile required:
The candidate must be able to show initiative and prioritize safe work, cooperation, transparency, rigor and respect. Do not hesitate to get involved by proposing concrete solutions while being open to consulting and learning from other employees in order to apply best practices.

Requirements and Skills that we look for:

  • Has a college diploma (DEC) in Electromechanics or a vocational diploma (DEP) in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics or other appropriate training
  • Work experience deemed equivalent may be substituted for education
  • A passion for mechanics and electricity (high voltage 600 volts) and a good command of mechanical repairs and the use of hand and power tools are essential assets.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of PLC, CNC, controllers, Plasma/Laser cutting machine, folding bench, welding machine, etc. (Assets)
  • Analytical skills and ability to make diagnoses
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office and maintenance software)
  • Resourcefulness, autonomy and initiative
  • Good knowledge of either French or English, oral and written (Bilingualism an asset)
  • Ability to work safely at all times and a good sense of humor are essential!
