HR Payroll Technician

Your Mission: • Administer the full payroll cycle (collect, validate, and enter data; produce statements and year-end documents; respond to inquiries) • Administer and serve as the point of contact for employee benefits (group insurance, RRSP, etc.) • Enter data required for payroll processing • Apply collective agreement provisions (CCQ), the Labour Standards Act, and relevant pay legislation • Produce various reports and perform payroll-related calculations and checks • Respond to information requests from external organizations • Be responsible for internal recruitment activities and onboarding of new employees • Meet with employees to discuss various questions or concerns • Manage employee records • Participate in the administrative tasks of the team


Requested skills

• Hold a DEP, AEC, or DEC in accounting, administration, or human resources (vocational/training diplomas)
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent command of Excel and MS Office 365
• Strong experience with payroll software; PREXTRA is an asset
• Good knowledge of Labour Standards and CCQ collective agreements
• Autonomous and versatile
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and rigor
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
