KPMG’s Economic Services practice provides the quantitative and qualitative analysis organizations need to identify, assess, and address complex challenges in local and global markets. This work spans corporate, public sector, and non-profit clients, where priorities increasingly extend beyond financial performance to broader economic and social outcomes.

 

This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated, data-driven engagements, where economic theory, statistics, and real-world context come together to inform policy and strategic decision-making. You will contribute to high-impact projects focused on economic and social outcomes, working alongside experienced professionals to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for clients.


What you will do

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support economic and policy analysis
  • Build and apply economic and statistical models to evaluate complex issues
  • Perform economic cost modelling, pricing analysis, and market assessments
  • Contribute to economic and social impact assessments and policy/program evaluations
  • Analyze sector performance and market dynamics using data-driven techniques
  • Apply predictive modelling, data analytics, and survey design methodologies
  • Prepare clear, structured deliverables that translate complex findings into practical insights
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written materials, presentations, and discussions

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Economics, Public Policy, Health Economics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and statistical methods
  • Strong technical capability in econometric and statistical modelling in academic or applied settings
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata, SAS, MATLAB, or Altery
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and large-scale data analysis is an asset
  • Proven ability to produce clear, structured business writing and deliver effective presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with strong command of written and spoken English; French language skills are an asset
  • Experience in client service and/or public policy analysis, including measurement of social outcomes, is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team environment

 

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $66,000- $99,000
 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
