Within our Advisory practice, the Technology Strategy & Transformation (TST) team helps clients navigate complex digital change aligning technology initiatives with business strategy and harnessing emerging technologies to drive transformation.

 

We partner with organizations to modernize their data and IT infrastructures, implement innovative AI-driven solutions, develop robust integrated strategies, and design business solution architectures that enable long-term growth.

 

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join this dynamic practice. In this leadership role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge solutions to clients, cultivating strategic client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our technology consulting business.

 


What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end client engagements: Oversee the delivery of multiple technology strategy and transformation projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction. Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to project teams.
  • Own client relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, understanding their business challenges and technology needs. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for engagement delivery and future initiatives.
  • Technology strategy execution: Guide clients in developing and executing technology strategies that leverage core capabilities in AI, data modernization, cloud infrastructure, platform strategy, and business solution architecture. Develop actionable roadmaps and ensure proposed solutions align with clients’ business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Team leadership and quality assurance: Manage and inspire diverse teams of consultants, architects, and analysts. Ensure project deliverables meet KPMG’s quality standards and risk management guidelines. Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and a culture of excellence.
  • Drive strategic account growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to extend and expand engagements within existing accounts (land-and-expand model). Develop new revenue opportunities by recognizing client needs and proposing valuable follow-on solutions, effectively broadening KPMG’s presence within client organizations.
  • Business development and proposal leadership: Lead the development of proposals, RFP responses, and innovative solution offerings to address client challenges. Work closely with KPMG Partners and Directors to shape deal strategy, craft value propositions, and produce winning proposals that secure new consulting engagements.
  • Collaborate with KPMG leadership on sales initiatives: Partner with KPMG’s leadership team to drive sales and practice growth. Leverage your industry insights and network to identify new leads, participate in client presentations and pitch meetings, and help achieve the firm’s revenue targets.
  • Thought leadership and practice development: Contribute to the evolution of KPMG’s Technology Strategy & Transformation services. Develop thought leadership (e.g. whitepapers, conference presentations) on emerging technology trends and innovative methodologies. Support internal practice development by refining service offerings and mentoring junior team members to build future leaders.

What you bring to the role

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in technology consulting or a related industry role, with a strong track record of leading complex technology strategy or transformation engagements. Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Consulting and client delivery: Significant experience in a client-facing consulting environment. Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and business leaders. Exceptional delivery skills with a focus on value creation, innovation, and tangible client outcomes.
  • Business development acumen: Demonstrated experience in business development activities such as identifying client needs, developing proposals, and contributing to sales pursuits. Proven ability to drive account growth, generate new revenue, and meet sales targets in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Technical and strategic expertise: Deep understanding of technology trends and enterprise solutions, with expertise in several of the following areas: CIO Advisory, Technology Strategy, strong knowledge of Financial Services, Government, Health, Retail, Utilities, Energy or other related Industries; artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, data analytics and modernization, cloud computing and infrastructure, digital platforms, and enterprise architecture/business solution architecture. Able to translate complex technical concepts into strategic recommendations for business and executive stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams. Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams, develop talent, and cultivate a high-performance team culture. A track record of guiding teams through ambiguity and changing requirements while maintaining morale and focus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant master’s degree is highly desirable and considered a strong plus.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications or credentials that demonstrate expertise are advantageous. Examples include cloud architecture certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect), enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF certification), project management (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2), and Agile methodologies (e.g. Certified Scrum Master).
  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to articulate complex ideas clearly and confidently, adapting messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong executive presence with the ability to lead client workshops, facilitate strategic discussions, and deliver impactful presentations.
  • Strategic mindset: Big-picture thinker with a strategic mindset and an entrepreneurial approach. Comfortable working in ambiguous or fast-changing environments, with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and innovation. Demonstrated ability to anticipate market and technology trends to inform client solutions and practice strategy.
  • Collaboration: Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and service lines. Skilled at building consensus and fostering teamwork in a matrixed organization. Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (e.g. data analytics, cybersecurity, industry specialists) to deliver comprehensive solutions is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel as required to support client engagements and business development activities. Adaptable to varying client needs and consulting environments.
