What you will do

Reviewing Experience Reports & PERT Management

  • Validation: Review and validate PERT Consolidated Summary reports for completeness and accuracy to ensure candidates meet all technical and enabling competency requirements.
  • Compliance Tracking: Audit employment history by matching PERT data against HR Transaction reports to ensure no missing time or overlapping dates.
  • Leave Management: Verify that total leave days (vacation, sick, etc.) reported in PERT are in accordance with the Student work experience report/IBS timesheets.

  • Leadership Support: Prepare final review packages for Program Leaders, including the manually adjusted student work experience reports and practice aids.
  • Processing CPA Review requests in PERT: Facilitate Change of Job Assessments for CPA candidates transferring offices or groups and Completion Assessments for those applying for their letters.

Firm Compliance & Public Accounting Licensing (PAL) Annual Experience Reports

  • Extract Data: Obtain and extract bulk chargeable hours data for five-year period using the Advanced Reporting tool.
  • Data Verification: Verify that the five-year chargeable hours data period has been accurately captured and input bulk data into an Excel macro for generating individual reports for members across Canada.
  • Distribute Reports: Distribute individual reports to firm members by email communication in a timely manner to ensure they meet the PAL Renewal submission deadline.
  • Archive Communications: Archive all PAL related email communications to license holders and maintain record of completion.

Team support during busy season

  • Validating completion of submission: Provide support to colleagues during the CPA Annual Membership Dues process to complete payment requests on the Service Now site during high-volume periods.

What you bring to the role

  • Process-Oriented: You thrive when following structured step-by-step instructions and maintaining clear audit trails.

  • Strong Communicator: You can translate complex provincial regulations into clear, actionable instructions for both candidates and senior management.
