The CEO & Leadership Communications Director is responsible for shaping and coordinating communications on behalf of the Leadership team, with a strong emphasis on ensuring internal alignment across the firm. This role ensures that executive messaging is clear, consistent, and coordinated, while also managing the flow and timing of communications across different regions and business areas.

 

This role will be based out of our Toronto office and will be part of a collaborative in-person team.


What you will do

CEO Communications

  • Support the development and execution of executive communication strategies, partnering with relevant stakeholders to ensure messaging is clear and consistent across various formats and audiences.
  • Support the senior leadership in preparing for high-visibility moments — employee town halls, announcements, board meetings, and internal firm events.
  • Draft and prepare communications and supporting materials for executive team activities, providing internal support for a range of strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO & executive leaders on narrative development, positioning, and tone.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive communication with discretion and sound judgment.

Internal Communications

  • Lead internal communications efforts in close collaboration with the Strategy & Operations team and their communications experts, ensuring firm-wide priorities are clearly conveyed and reinforced.
  • Partner with internal teams (Communications, HR, Marketing, Risk, Legal) and local communication leads to improve alignment and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead and manage communications for key organizational initiatives and strategic change management, coordinating executive messaging across the firm to ensure alignment with overall priorities
  • Oversee the national distribution calendar, aligning timing, sequencing, and volume of communications across business areas and regions

What you bring to the role

  • 10+ years of experience in executive, internal, or leadership communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with C-suite executives, with strong executive presence.
  • Deep understanding of national communications and the ability to coordinate with geographic teams to manage firmwide alignment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills for internal audiences.
  • Proven project management skills, with experience managing calendars, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across functions and geographies.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments.
