Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operation of our warehouses, namely receiving, storing, order preparation, packaging where applicable and departure of goods. You will work in collaboration with the production department as well as the supply chain department to achieve objectives such as: cost optimization, reduction of processing and delivery times, quality of service, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and supervise logistics operations, including inventory control, delivery times and transportation costs to ensure efficient flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company logistics standards and procedures.
  • Plan and manage warehousing operations by ensuring the proper functioning of internal systems.
  • Coordinate inter-warehouse transfers and shipments with suppliers.
  • Manage the relationship with transport service providers.
  • Supervise warehouse transfers and merchandise deliveries.
  • Lead the American warehouse team and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory control and perform regular physical counts.
  • Ensure smooth communication with other departments and customers.
  • Supervise order processing and use of automated systems.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy of documents and transactions in the ERP system.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain Managers to resolve issues and optimize processes.

Required Profile

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory position in the transportation and distribution industry, particularly in operations management.
  • Experience in ground shipping/receiving operations.
  • Ability and certification to operate a forklift – a requirement.
  • Knowledge of international logistics (an asset)
  • Experience and/or knowledge in international customs clearance (USA, Asia, Europe, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of the different INCOTERMS.
