Reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Owner is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other product owners to ensure the success of wireless network design projects. He is responsible for each phase of the development process as well as the final product, playing a vital role in inspecting and evaluating the progress of the software product.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Product Management to define the company’s software vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Act as the voice of the customer for software product decisions.
  • Develop detailed roadmaps for each SW product, collecting requirements for NPI and non-NPI projects, as well as third-party enhancements and integrations.
  • Prioritize delayed software development for each current release and release train.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and customers to test new releases and gather feedback.
  • Work with software development teams to drive the adoption of agile development best practices.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on software application infrastructure requirements.

Profile Sought and Qualifications:

Training/Experience/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (technical or analytical field a plus).
  • More than 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry an asset.
  • Familiarity with product and software development techniques, agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in IoT an asset.

Knowledge

  • Analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using data to support hypotheses and develop business cases.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Technical training with knowledge of software development and web technologies.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) – oral and written.

Required abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Versatility and flexibility.
  • Rigor, concern for excellence and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
