QC Assembly Inspector (Night Shift)

Overview

The QC Assembly Inspector verifies build integrity across modular cooling units, ensuring conformity to drawings, specifications, and internal procedures while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

We are hiring for our weekday night shift (Monday-Thursday 6:15pm-5:45am) and weekend night shift (Friday-Sunday 6:15pm-5:45am).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Complete subassembly inspections, including motor, coil, evaporator, furnace, and paint components; perform full unit final inspections.

  • Conduct daily inspections of inprocess units to verify sealing, confirm no missing parts, and ensure all work meets drawing/ODS requirements and overall quality standards.

  • Review daily paperwork for all inprocess units and report deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor.

  • Review inspection documents, verify completeness, and assemble full unit documentation packages.

  • Support training and knowledge-sharing by assisting other inspectors and production team members; verify drawings and marking/breaking work for accuracy.

  • Identify discrepancies in drawings, support Engineering change markings, and submit updates to the Quality Supervisor through the ECR process.

  • Maintain clear, detailed inspection records ensuring traceability of all findings, deviations, and defects.

  • Identify, document, and report all non-conformances following the NCR procedure, including detailed descriptions and supporting evidence; assist with corrective actions as required.

  • Ensure all inspection forms are accurately completed, uploaded to the shared drive, and all relevant trackers are updated promptly.

  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe-work practices.

  • Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong ability to read shop drawings and use measuring tools (including tape measure and fractional math).

  • Critical eye for defects; knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in assembly.

  • Effective communication and time management; ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe material handling.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital photo/document tools.

  • Competent in: Wall Sub Assembly, Roof Sub Assembly, Base Frame, Drain Pan, Bulkhead, Evap Sub, Motor Sub, Damper, Line, Final, Wrapping, Loading, Paint.

Working Conditions
  • Commercial/industrial environment; PPE required.

  • Must have the physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs.

  • Overtime may be available occasionally with work volume.
