Founded in 1994, Silent-Aire is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. What you will do
You will be instrumental in designing 3D models that will be used for construction packages, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes. You will help implement CREO and Windchill, and train users that are new to the system. Working closely with engineers and production staff, you will contribute to optimizing processes for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness, enhancing overall product quality.
How you will do it
Create detailed designs for manufacturing air handling units and computer room solutions, ensuring compliance with production requirements and industry standards.
Generate precise technical drawings and specifications for tooling using Inventor/Creo software.
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to identify design needs and gather feedback on functionality.
Assist in the prototyping process by working with manufacturing teams to test and refine assemblies before full-scale production.
Review existing designs for efficiency and effectiveness, suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, revisions, and specifications to ensure traceability and adherence to JCI standards.
Create or update bills of materials (BOM) to accurately represent necessary components and materials.
Assist team members and perform peer reviews for internal design packages.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by assessing tooling performance and recommending innovative design enhancements.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting timeline requirements while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
What we look for
Required:
College diploma or University degree in mechanical engineering design and drafting technology, or previous relative experience
Over 5 years’ experience with CREO and Windchill PLM system
Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
Provide technical support and troubleshoot CREO-related issues
Help train CAD users on CREO and Windchill best practices, ensuring efficiency
Proficiency in creating preliminary designs or conceptualizing design
Experience supporting mechanical products and assemblies with attention to detail
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interest in developing technical skills through internal and external training
Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization and time management techniques
Preferred:
Previous experience with Inventor CAD software
