HVAC Mechanic Apprentice (First or Second Year)

We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.Under leadership direction, you will work on the truck-based team, providing routine, periodic service, and inspections on Mechanical HVAC equipment at customer sites.How you will do it:Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial and light industrial HVAC systemsChange and Service FiltersOil and Grease Bearings Perform Belt adjustment and replacement services. Perform Cooling Tower and Condenser Maintenance (coils, evaporators, and tubes) Perform general housekeeping tasks as required by customer contract. Operate mechanical equipment if deemed necessary by customer contract. Operate maintenance tasks using basic hand tools as needed.Perform Indoor Air Quality related maintenance including but not limited to the cleaning of duct systems and drain pans.Transport rigging equipment to and from sites as needed.Assist other HVAC Journeymen and Apprentices as needed.What we look for or require:High School Diploma or equivalent.First or second-year apprenticeFamiliarity with HVAC equipment and hand tools.Refrigeration certification.Industrial Site Experience preferred.Self-starter with ability to work independently.This position requires a current clean driver's license/abstract.The ability to Join UA-516 or be a member in good standing.This position is subject to the terms of a Collective Agreement.
