In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.

This role is base out of Sherwood Park, you must have drivers' license and a reliable vehicle to commute.

We offer the following shift for this job:

  • Day Shift (6AM - 6PM; WW-OO-WWW-OO-WW-OOO).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and assembly of piece parts as per schematic under supervision of a supervisor or Plant Foreman.

  • Proficient with small hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, and grinders.

  • Familiarize self with and/or request training concerning new small/hand-held equipment.

  • Assistance and compliance with company inventory requirements.

  • Unloading products received and loading finished products for delivery.

  • Maintain small/hand-held equipment in good working order and notify General Foreman or Supervisor of malfunctions.

  • Assist trades people, Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager with responsibilities pertinent to progress of project in a safe manner and in accordance with 5-S program.

  • Liaise with a Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager to find and confirm new duties.

  • Familiarize self with new project and duties.

  • Organize and clean department, particularly at the end of each workday.

  • Notify the Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager of any unsafe conditions, practices, or procedures observed.

  • May be required to move materials with forklift or overhead crane if trained and authorized.

  • Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Time management skills.

  • Critical eye for identifying defects.

  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.

  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds consistently.

  • Must be able to read a tape measure in FT and INCHES and perform simple mathematical fractional equations.

  • Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Commercial/Industrial environment.

  • Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.

  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).

  • Long periods of standing and physical activity.

  • Overtime as required.
