Canada Games: Québec, 2027

The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

Your Role

History is made with the right people. The 2027 Canada Games are looking for a logistics expert to orchestrate the behind-the-scenes operations that will make Quebec City shine. In this key role, you will be the architect of our operational efficiency and help build an exceptional logistics machine that will make Games history.
 

In collaboration with the Sports and Athlete Services team, and under the supervision of the Associate General Director, Human Capital and Administrative Services, your warehouse and logistics management expertise will make the Games run like Swiss clockwork, ensuring that every piece of equipment, every delivery, and every process is perfectly orchestrated.

Your logistics management expertise will enable you to:

  • Orchestrate our logistics hub by planning, organizing and executing all warehousing activities, including inventory control, receiving and optimal space layout;
  • Create operational harmony by developing and deploying logistics policies and procedures that support our operations in a structured and efficient manner;
  • Watch over your team's safety by implementing a workplace health and safety program at the warehouse that meets CNESST standards;
  • Weave the logistics web by collaborating on the development of integrated processes that foster coordination between all teams, before and during the Games;
  • Master the delivery tempo by designing and executing the master schedule to safely transport equipment and materials to all Games sites;
  • Give goods a second life by actively participating in planning and implementing the post-Games liquidation process;
  • Develop talent by supervising, training and supporting volunteers and temporary employees in logistics operations;
  • Tackle unexpected challenges with creativity and energy as they arise along the way.
 

Keys to success

Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:

  • College diploma, technical degree or training in operations and supply chain management, warehouse and transportation management, or any other related field;
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Experience in inventory management and using equipment and material reservation software;
  • Experience in volunteer management and/or team management;
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to perform minor repairs (an asset);
  • Valid driver's license. Class 3 driver's license (an asset);
  • Criminal background check required.
