Canada Games: Québec, 2027

 

The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

Your Role

 

History is made with the right people. 

As Transportation Coordinator, you’ll play a key strategic role in planning and organizing transportation logistics for the entire Canada Games family - people and sports equipment included. 

Reporting to the Director of Athlete Services, your talent and energy will help you:

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and logistical planning related to various transportation components: vehicle fleet, transportation hub, bus operations, arrivals and departures, sports equipment transport, site-to-site participant transportation, accessible transport, dispatch and reservation systems, etc. ;
  • Manage waiting areas and parking logistics across various transportation needs ;
  • Support the planning of transportation schedules during the Games ;
  • Assist in identifying and securing transportation suppliers and partners ;
  • Organize and lead meetings of the transportation committee ;
  • Oversee training and scheduling of volunteers assigned to transportation ;
 
  • Support internal teams and volunteers in delivering effective and tailored transportation strategies ;
  • Apply your talent to challenges that emerge along the way. 
 

Keys to success

 

Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:

 
  • College or technical diploma in operations management, logistics, transportation, event planning, recreation or a related field. A university degree is considered an asset;
  • 3 years of experience managing operations, projects, or large-scale sporting events;
  • Fluent in French (written and spoken); working knowledge of English;
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-traffic environments - you thrive under pressure;
  • Experience in a sports event environment is considered an asset;
  • Experience managing volunteers is considered an asset;
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Based in the Quebec City region or ready to relocate to be part of the adventure;
  • Criminal background check required;
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
