Canada Games: Quebec, 2027

The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport event and will bring together, in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches competing in 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold, passionate individuals to help create legendary Games. Your mission? To join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional moments for athletes and visitors alike, while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.

Your Role

Ready to make history? As Coordinator, Security and Essential Services, you’ll be at the heart of the action, ensuring every venue is safe, seamless, and welcoming.

You’ll plan and oversee security operations, coordinate volunteers and teams responsible for crowd and access management, and ensure that information kiosks, ushers, and venues are spotless and ready to welcome participants and spectators.

Reporting to the Director, Sports and Venues, your talent and energy will enable you to:

  • Identify needs and select contractual security partners, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Assess volunteer requirements for crowd and access management and work with teams to deliver a secure and positive experience.
  • Coordinate overall security services for all Games venues (access control, asset protection, crowd management, contracted security) before, during, and after the event.
  • Plan and supervise on-site operations to ensure smooth crowd flow, access, and facility protection.
  • Organize and lead information kiosks to provide a warm welcome and exceptional service.
  • Implement and oversee ushering services for ticket holders, VIPs, athlete spectators, and the extended Games family.
  • Ensure site cleanliness and responsible waste management in accordance with established plans.
  • Respond creatively and efficiently to unforeseen challenges as they arise.

Keys to Success

Want to be part of our team? Here’s what it takes:

  • College diploma in security, event management, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in security management, event services supervision, or a similar role.
  • Experience in crowd management, access control, and operational planning for medium or large-scale events.
  • Experience managing volunteers and service providers.
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • Criminal background check required.
