Are you an experienced Maintenance Worker V seeking a rewarding opportunity? Join our dedicated and supportive team at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, B.C.
Your Role:
As a Maintenance Worker V, you'll be handling trades duties approaching the journeyman level in areas such as electrical, plumbing, and painting, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Supervise Maintenance Workers and designated staff while constructing walls, doors, floors, ceilings, and windows. Your skills will shine in framing, applying, and finishing materials like drywall, wood paneling, and floor coverings. Get creative by designing, constructing, and repairing furniture, cabinets, desks, tables, and shelves. Dive into plastering, painting, and decorating, contributing to both minor renovations and general maintenance.
Casual Opportunities Across the Region:
This position is eligible for casual work at multiple healthcare sites throughout the region. Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. On-call may be required with this position. Many of our team members start in casual roles and transition into permanent positions. • Grade 10, plus four years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
