  Your day-to-day You will coordinate the team’s activities and develop current and future projects in infrastructure and energy efficiency by delivering services tailored to the needs of First Nations.
You will be responsible for supervising a multidisciplinary team composed of circuit rider trainers in building maintenance, infrastructure and housing advisors, and project leaders in energy efficiency. Together, you and your team will lead projects related to building mechanicals, housing, community infrastructure, and energy efficiency in buildings.
  Main responsibilities

Coordination

  • Ensure the delivery and quality of projects, deliverables, and expected outcomes by team members within their respective mandates.
  • Consult with team members to track progress and ensure the targeted projects are delivered within the established timelines and in line with priorities.
  • Coordinate certain activities related to the project's submission process as well as reporting requirements under your responsibility.
  • Prepare and present action plans (including strategies, budgets where applicable, timelines, etc.) for your area of activity to management.
  • Manage your team’s financial resources and budgets efficiently.
  • In close collaboration with team members, ensure ongoing monitoring and knowledge gathering on relevant topics.
  • Ensure compliance with agreements, internal standards, and procedures.
  • Depending on the sector’s workload and the nature of the mandates, maintain an appropriate balance between direct project delivery and coordination responsibilities.

Human Resources Management

  • Plan, delegate, and coordinate the work to be carried out among team members.
  • Participate in the recruitment process.
  • Conduct evaluations and ensure the training and professional development of team members.
  Do you have what it takes?
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in project and team management
  • Experience or knowledge in administration, energy efficiency, infrastructure, and building mechanicals
  • Knowledge of the issues, priorities, perspectives, and aspirations of First Nations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, both in French and English
  • Experience working with an Indigenous organization or with First Nations (a strong asset)
