The Director of Business Development is responsible for the company's growth strategy and business expansion. They play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, managing customer and partner relationships, and negotiating strategic contracts. This role requires in-depth market expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to collaborate with various internal teams to meet customer needs and achieve company objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
• Client Relationship Management: Oversee assigned projects and identify new business partners to maximize opportunities;
• Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts from closing through implementation;
• Value Proposition Development: Analyze the market and participate in the drafting of technical and financial proposals;
• Strategic Consulting: Collaborate with management to provide feedback and recommendations on market trends;
• Participation in industry events: Represent the company at events and report on key trends;
• Internal Collaboration: Work with internal teams to meet client needs;
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze results and adjust strategies to achieve objectives;
• Management of problem files;
• Standardization of operations and drafting of procedures;
• Support to the operations team (cost, review of route tech/workshop tech/cause reports);
• Verification of operational deadlines (ensures compliance with the 10-business-day reporting deadline);
• Management and implementation of improvement projects;
• Management of technician layoff meetings after approval by the president.
• Maintaining good workplace harmony;
• Use file analysis tools to ensure proper progress of files
• Assist with recruitment (as needed);
• Assist with staff evaluations;
• Manage dissatisfied customers;
• Support customer service;
• Mobilize staff based on workload;
• Annual evaluation of employees in their department;
• Strengths: Marketing and content creation for social media.

Academic and Professional Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in business development, preferably in the biotechnology, life sciences, or manufacturing (CDMO) sector.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong experience negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
• Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of cell and gene therapies, as well as industry trends and regulations.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze markets, identify business opportunities, and propose solutions tailored to client needs. • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to work closely with the CEO and internal teams to develop growth strategies.
• Versatility: Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-growing environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) required.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in business development, preferably in the biotechnology, life sciences, or manufacturing (CDMO) sector.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong experience in negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
• Market Knowledge: Good understanding of cell and gene therapies, as well as industry trends and regulations.
