Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to underwriting teams on risk assessment, policy wording, and pricing strategies
  • Develop and support innovative insurance products, including new initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-province and cross-functionally with corporate underwriting and other stakeholders
  • Analyze market segments, geographies, and lines of business to recommend product improvements
  • Lead and participate in special projects, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Ensure products and rating changes adhere to regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions
  • Promote workflow efficiencies through coaching and information sessions
  • Support reinsurance program analysis and exposure management efforts
  • Stay current with emerging market trends and participate in professional development

Qualifications

  • CIP or FCIP designation preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of multi-line underwriting experience, with a focus on personal lines and auto preferred
  • Proven experience with Guidewire
  • Strong knowledge of reinsurance, product development, and regulatory reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
