Senior Internal Auditor

About the Position
Reporting to the Internal Audit manager, the senior internal auditor will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Take ownership of audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring they are carried out independently and in line with Global Internal Audit Standards.
• Perform audit procedures by identifying key issues, setting evaluation criteria, analyzing supporting evidence, and clearly documenting all the procedures.
• Review and verify information about the company’s processes and systems by analyzing policies, reports, financial statements, and other documents, and by speaking with staff when necessary.
• Prepare well-structured audit reports that clearly communicate findings, conclusions, and implications to stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with Internal Audit leadership on initiatives that enhance the function’s effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist the Internal Audit Manager with risk assessments and control evaluations, providing guidance to management while maintaining appropriate independence.
• Support insurance-related activities, including gathering information for policy renewals and completing other ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Designated CPA or CIA
• 4+ years of internal audit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
• Travel within Canada and internationally as required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $110,000 to $140,000
