Senior Accountant

A well-established, diversified organization with decades of success across real estate, construction, hospitality, agriculture, and more is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This role sits within the real estate development arm and supports the accounting function in achieving month-end, quarter-end, and annual reporting objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of entities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and tax teams to deliver accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain, reconcile, and update key balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Respond to requests from senior leadership for financial reports and special analysis.
  • Prepare internal reporting packages and assist in forecasting, including KPI reviews.
  • Support the year-end audit process by preparing financial statements and working papers.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation efforts.
  • Assist in preparing both stand-alone and consolidated monthly financial statements.
  • Participate in finance-led initiatives and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field.
  • CPA designation (or in progress), preferably with public practice background.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Real estate development industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Proficient in Excel; exposure to Acumatica considered an advantage.

Compensation:

  • $80,000-$90,000 + Bonus
