Senior Accountant – IPP

Based in Edmonton, our client is an established real estate firm that has been in business for over two decades and is currently looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting experience.

About the Position

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for various business entities and divisions.
• Review financial reports and ensure reporting reflects current corporate structures, trust arrangements, and project activity.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgets, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting processes.
• Support external audits and year-end reporting requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure all balances are properly supported.
• Streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
• Support the development and maintenance of financial dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Diploma or degree in accounting
• Property accounting experience is an asset.
• CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset
