About The Position
- Serves as a key HR partner to employees and people leaders across the business
- Advises managers on day-to-day people matters including performance, conduct, and employee development
- Supports resolution of workplace issues by assessing context and providing practical, balanced recommendations
- Works with internal stakeholders to deliver people-focused initiatives that support business objectives
- Contributes to the ongoing development and improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes
- Assists with compensation-related activities such as review cycles and market alignment support
- Participates in enhancing HR systems and tools to improve usability and effectiveness
- Leverages workforce data to identify patterns and support informed decision-making
- Supports planning activities related to workforce needs and organizational structure
- Helps build leadership capability through informal coaching and guidance
- Contributes to engagement and culture initiatives aimed at improving the employee experience
- Collaborates across departments to ensure consistency and alignment in people practices
- Operates effectively in a changing environment, balancing structure with flexibility and sound judgment
The Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR or People & Talent roles, ideally in an advisory or business partner capacity
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources
- CPHR or pursuing is an asset
- Comfortable applying HR practices and employment legislation in practical, real-world situations
- Experience working directly with leaders and influencing decision-making through guidance and coaching
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous situations and exercise sound, balanced judgment
- Exposure to compensation processes, frameworks, or total rewards programs considered an asset
- Experience contributing to HR program or policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to interpret data and use insights to support people-related decisions
- Collaborative working style with a willingness to partner across multiple functions and teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity when handling sensitive information
- Proficient with common workplace and HR systems, including Microsoft Office tools and HRIS platforms
Compensation
- Annual salary range $85,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
- 3 weeks vacation + 9 personal days (inclusive of 5 sick days)
