ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is one of British Columbia’s well-renowned regional firms who offers legal services in over 15 languages. They proudly work with clients of all sizes, from families to multinational companies - no case is too big or too small for them. Now they’re looking to expand their Real Estate team and add a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal!

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The team is known for the collegial and welcoming environment they create and are always willing to step in for each other when needed. You’ll be part of a team of 10 paralegals who are all simultaneously supporting 10 - 20 Associates and Partners, you’ll never run out of work to do!
ABOUT THE POSITION
Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Drafting all client correspondence
• Reviewing purchase agreements and sales contracts
• Liaising with third parties such as financial institutions, agents, and counsels
• Preparing closing packages
• Performing off-title/title/name searches
• Gathering and preparing legal documents for the necessary transactions, including but not limited to, transfer documents, trust documents, resolutions, property transfer tax returns and more
• Liaising with lenders’ lawyers and ensuring the delivery of required documents
• Managing lawyers’ scheduling
• Assisting with billing processes

THE REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years of Commercial Real Estate Paralegal experience
• A Paralegal certificate/diploma is a major asset
• Proficiency in iManage software
• Experience in hitting 1200 billable target

COMPENSATION

• $85,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience)
• Extended Health and Dental coverage
• Fitness allowance

• 3 - 4 weeks vacation
