Our client, a respected civil construction and paving contractor in Western Canada, is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with proven civil estimating experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

About the Position
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of civil construction projects, including roads, highways, utilities, and site developments.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Develop accurate pricing for materials, equipment, and labor based on current market rates.
- Analyze project scope to identify risks, exclusions, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Support the preparation of bid submissions and tender documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information relevant to estimating accuracy.
- Ensure all bids are compliant with client requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and engineers to validate cost assumptions.
- Maintain and update cost databases, supplier lists, and historical project data.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and consistency in estimates.
The Requirements
- 2+ years of estimating experience
- Successful estimating portfolio
- Must possess a strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Heavy Bid software, is an asset
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, and/or equivalent related work experience
Compensation
- Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
- RRSP Matching
- Fully paid premium
